![]() The popular hawker centre is at one end of Gurney Drive. It is open only at night but parking is a problem as it is always crowded with locals and tourists. Next to it is the Gurney Plaza which is the premier shopping centre on the island. Further down the road are some old restaurants. In the early morning folks walk up and down the 1.7 km Gurney Drive for exercise as there is little traffic then and the sea breeze is refreshing. Some adjourn to these restaurants for tim sum or bakut teh. At night they serve hawker and menu food. At the other end of road are three residential housing estates and two hotels.
