Happiness is...... Sleeping soundly at night And waking up feeling bright Having a good breakfast And reading the newspapers Reclining in front of the TV Viewing a good movie Surfing the Internet leisurely And downloading articles freely Sitting comfortably in a nook Reading an interesting book Playing with a cute puppy Or cuddling a happy baby Doing a bit of gardening And hearing birds chirping Seeing a neighbour or a friend And holding out a helping hand Getting a convenient parking lot After driving around, feeling hot Coming across an old friend While walking round a bend Going to a restaurant to eat And not paying a lot for it Buying something desirable At a price that's affordable Playing a game and having fun Whether indoors or under the sun Having a drink with a buddy And trying hard to be witty Assisting a person cross a street As the person is old or weak Giving a bit of monetary aid To someone who is less fortunate (The Star section 2, 17 Feb 2003) |
